As you begin planning for your 2016 event, I would like to introduce you to an option for your timing and scoring needs.
My name is John Kirby and I am the owner of Kirby’s Race Timing. I have been an avid runner and cross country coach for over 25 years. Since 1995 I have been scoring, timing and directing races, in a variety of venues and distances ranging from local charity road races, elementary, high school and college cross country races including NCAA Conference Championships. I understand the time and commitment that goes into successfully completing a race, and I want to make sure that you get the results that you deserve.
In 2013, I began Kirby’s Race Timing with the intention of offering the running community a professional, affordable, experienced, high-quality timing company. We feature an advanced RFID chip-timing system that reliably achieves 99.99% read rates using RFID tags. Our custom made system is actually four timing systems in one – two RFID systems, a manual back-up system, an automatic photo capture system and video capture of each finisher.
From the ground up, this system was designed to offer top-of-the-line timing performance at a budget-conscious price for small- to medium-sized road, trail and cross country races, but is powerful enough to handle larger races as well. We provide all the necessary equipment you need to accurately time your event including an overhead finish line truss with a banner, race clock, flags and cones, to offer a professional looking finish line for both participants and spectators.
We have also partnered with RunSignUp to offer online registration at no charge to the race or event (participants pay a small transaction fee when registering) RunSignUp also offers a free website to promote your race as well as a searchable results and participant notification.
